I’m still messing about with collage and the computer. This time I wanted the line drawing (that I create with a real pencil and piece of paper) to look like a block print. Well, it looks more like stained glass, but that’s okay. I used the “cut-out” feature in Photoshop to get the effect. I painted and scanned all the color bits, then painstakingly assembled it all using Illustrator. I lost count of how many little bits are in this illustration.
This is another nonfiction picture book of verse, but only the research has been done so far as you can see by the “Lorem Ipsum” stuff. FYI, “Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old.”
It’s fun to switch off to illustration when writer’s block sets in, and have weird blocks of writing that we can use to make us look more productive.
You have really been busy, this is great, wish people would realize how much work, goes ones work.
This is great and alot of work on the colors, very interesting on the Latin literature.
